“By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.” – Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium 11

In the Diocese of Hamilton, Confirmation is normally received at age 12-14.

Confirmation for Children Attending Parish Schools                                    

 For children in Grade 7 attending St. Michael and Our Lady of Peace, sacramental preparation is done by the school in collaboration with the Parish.

Confirmation for Children not attending Parish Schools and are in Grade 7 and up; attending public or private schools please send an email to stmichaelparishoakville@gmail.com                                                                                                                                                                                   

Confirmation in Spanish  

Preparation for Confirmation is offered to both youth and adults in Spanish.

Confirmation for Adults                                                                       

If you have not received the sacrament of Confirmation please contact Father Jerzy to discuss your situation.   Preparation is adapted to the circumstances of each individual and is available in either English or Spanish.
