Baptism of Children
Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation and the prerequisite for all other sacraments. Through baptism, people are forgiven of all their sins, made children of God, and made members of His Church.

If you would like your child baptized:
Complete a baptism registration form at least 8 weeks in advance of your requested Baptism date - email the completed form with requested Baptism date on it to: stmichaelchurch@bellnet.ca. The parish office will confirm your Baptism within 1 week of receiving the form. Click here to download the form.
Parents must attend 1 baptismal preparation meeting before the baptism of each of their children in our parish.
The meeting is held at St. Michael’s Church once a month on a Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the crying room and is approximately 1 hour long. The dates for these classes, which run in Spanish and English are included here. You DO NOT register for these classes; you choose a date before your chosen baptism date and show up in the crying room on that date. Godparents are encouraged to attend but are not required to attend the meeting.

Baptism for Children over 7 years of Age
Children who are in Grade 3 or older must first receive some instruction before baptism. The length and nature of the instruction depends upon the specific needs of each child. At the conclusion of the preparation, the children will receive all three sacraments of initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion – at a Sunday Mass.
